We are taking Winesday and Flatbread of the Week across the globe.
Taking cues from the warm climate, salty sea, and an abundance of fresh herbs, this week’s Take-N-Bake Flatbread of the Week is Mediterranean.
The foundation is a perfect blend of creamy rosemary and basil feta spread then sprinkled with our house cheese blend of mozzarella and provolone. Roasted red peppers, Castelvetrano olives, and a sprinkling of fresh chiffonade spinach top it off.
Mediterranean flatbread pairs perfectly with this week’s Winesday wine selection–the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc from Boeger Vineyards located in Apple Hill.
This local estate-grown wine boasts aromas of pineapple, guava, and citrus rind with slight overtones of green apple and chive. This wine has a bright, clean, and fruit-driven palate with mineral and herbaceous notes on the finish.
The aromatics and acidity of Sauvignon Blanc are balanced by the addition of Sémillon–its traditional Bordeaux blending partner–which gives body and weight to the blend. A small amount of Flora provides additional aromatic complexity. The average vine age is 40 years old.
Normally, we sell this bottle for $30.00 but this week, grab one (or a couple) for only $26 each.
As we do each Winesday, we are also offering Reset Extra Cheese Take-N-Bake Flatbread as an option. Kids love it. Adults crave it and its even vegetarian!
